St. Louis Academy. This is essentially a French school. The usual school branches as well as music, vocal and instrumental, drawing and painting are pursued. The object is to give a Christian education and thorough instruction to fit for future duties. The Academy is located at 222 Main Street, across from the Stadium Theater. The school opened in 1904 and in 1930 they moved to a larger building in Pleasant Plains.

I found this to be very interesting, as I graduated St. Louis' Academy in 1966. I don't remember anyone ever telling us this part of the Schools History. Thank you for the information.
